   Press Release - Announcement

"Protecting Our Values. Building Our Future"

After 37 years of public service, I am proud to announce my candidacy for Mayor of the City of Carencro.

In 2022, our campaign came just 92 votes short. That margin wasn’t just close—it was a clear reminder that every voice matters. Since then, I’ve reflected on my own responsibility—I should have worked harder to meet more of you, to listen, and to share a clear vision for our city’s future.

Over the past three years, I have stayed engaged—attending City Council meetings, audit briefings, and closely following the decisions impacting our community. What’s even more encouraging is that you’ve been paying attention too. Across Carencro, there is a growing demand for accountability, transparency, and responsible leadership.

My experience is rooted in service and results. As Carencro City Manager for six years, following three years as Fire Chief, I worked alongside the Mayor, City Council, and department leaders to advance more than $65 million in infrastructure improvements that are now underway. Those projects didn’t happen by chance—they required planning, discipline, and leadership.

That experience reinforced a simple truth: managing our city is not a part-time responsibility. It requires full-time focus, sound judgment, and a commitment to doing what is right.

As your next Mayor, I will bring steady, accountable leadership. I will work respectfully with the City Council to develop a conservative, responsible budget. I will address past audit findings, and ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely—prioritizing infrastructure, public safety, and the quality of life our residents deserve.

Carencro’s strength is its people and their character. We must protect the small-town values that define us while creating opportunities for the future—safe walkable neighborhoods, better recreational spaces, and a stronger sense of community connection.

Most importantly, I will bring people together—residents, businesses, community leaders, and public officials—to listen, collaborate, and move Carencro forward with a shared vision.

The future of our city will be shaped by the decisions we make today.

I would be honored to earn your vote on November 3, 2026.
