Carencro's Code of Ordinances Sec. 62-129. Miscellaneous signs, states - "𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙨 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙗𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙗𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙣𝙤 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 14 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣."

This law remains unenforceable on private property since the 1994 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in City of Ladue v. Gilleo. This landmark case struck down laws restricting particular forms of speech (political, religious, etc.).

The court rightfully determined "𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙤𝙣𝙚'𝙨 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖 𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚..."

"𝘼 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙡𝙞𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣'𝙨 𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙖𝙬 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣'𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚."
